Penny Slots bring Casino Revenue
Surprisingly not, gamblers play the penny slots when the economy is in a recession. According to the Bureau of National Economic Research, the recession in the United States started back in late 2007. With some luck, gamblers get a better return for their money.
A USA Today article says:
Penny slots are usually set to pay off the gambler more frequently — as much as 70% of the time for every $1 bet — but pay smaller prizes. Casinos make more on penny slots, even though gamblers bet less. In Missouri, penny slots account for 42% of bets and 63% of casino profits.
Although penny slot games pay more frequently, the longer you play the more money the casino will make and the less money you will have in your wallet at the end of the day. The best advice is to go take hike because either way the casino is more likely to win, even in a recession.
